Students from rural or regional areas can apply for a $3000 Rural Tertiary Hardship Fund (RTHF) grant to help them attend university.
The grants are available to students under 25 years of age who live outside a major city and would experience financial hardship in undertaking higher education without assistance from the Fund.
First-time university students starting bachelor degree study in Semester 2, 2011 are able to apply for this one-off grant.
Applications close 5pm (AEST) on Friday, 29 July 2011.
