University is making a ‘positive contribution’ to the region

RDA Sunshine Coast Chair Tony Riddle believes the University of the Sunshine Coast’s (USC) leadership team deserves to be congratulated for bringing the latest technologies to the region.

Mr Riddle made the comment following a recent tour of the USC’s two high-tech spaces, the Visualisation Studio and Collaboration Studio, which feature 2D and 3D capabilities for teaching and learning.

“As one of only four such facilities in the world, USC is demonstrating its commitment to provide high-tech facilities to our region. This in turn attracts high quality staff, more students and confirms its reputation as a quality university,” he said.

“This leadership makes a positive contribution to our local economy, and provides an opportunity for our youth to remain on the coast to pursue their academic studies.”

Mr Riddle congratulated the USC’s leadership team for its on-going long-term foresight and commitment to the region.

“It’s worth taking a walk around the university campus to see for yourself the growth that has been taking place there.”
