Real-time bus departure information at Sunshine Plaza

It’s officially Christmas shopping season at Sunshine Plaza, Maroochydore (pictured) with Santa’s arrival in the new Mall Myer Centre Court on Thursday, November 15 from 5-8pm.
And as you prepare to shop up a storm, there’s good news on the transport front: Sunshine Coast Council has this week introduced real-time bus departure information at the popular shopping centre funded through its Transport Levy.
It’s part of Council’s “healthy, smart, creative” vision to encourage shoppers to leave the car at home and give the bus a go for their next trip to the Plaza.
You can now use digital directory kiosks with real-time data screens located throughout the centre to check when the next bus is expected to leave Maroochydore Station.
During the 2017/18 financial year, there were more than 559,000 passenger boardings at Maroochydore Station, according to TransLink.
