Congratulations to the Cooroy Chamber of Commerce and Nambour Alliance Incorporated who were awarded funding in Round Two of the BBRF Community Investments Stream.
Cooroy Chamber of Commerce was awarded $34,500 by the Federal Government for the 2019 Australian Body Art Festival – Blow Your Mind. The body art festival will consist of competitions in body painting, wearable art, photography, community art, demonstrations, and street and stage entertainment in Cooroy.
Nambour Alliance was awarded $50,000 towards their $100,000 project Re-imagine Nambour – an action plan to revitalise the Nambour community while retaining the region’s distinct identity. To stay informed or to register to be involved visit reimaginenambour.com.au.
This has been a fantastic outcome for the Sunshine Coast, and a great boost to the local economy. The $641.6 million Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) supports the Australian Government’s commitment to create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities into the future.

- Community Investments Stream
