The Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance (SCCA) has engaged leading consultancy Urbis to prepare a background paper on the Value of our Creative Economy.
This paper will be launched at a breakfast event on 7 May and guest speakers will highlight the economic potential of investing in the region’s creative industries.
SCCA President Phil Smith said the event’s aim was to stimulate discussion and connections between creative professionals, investors and business leaders.
“The Sunshine Coast has nurtured some of Australia’s best architects, painters and writers. But how well to we understand our own creative ecology? How can we nurture and grow this vital part of our economy?”
