Local business owners and residents are being urged to have a say on Sunshine Coast Council’s proposal to nominate the local government area to become a UNESCO biosphere.
A biosphere is a special place which reflects a balanced relationship between people and nature; where responsible development and sustainability can coexist.
Council believes biosphere status would further enhance the Sunshine Coast’s national and international reputation.
To comment and/or ask questions about the proposed biosphere nomination, go to Council’s website: https://haveyoursay.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au/celebrate-people-and-nature-biosphere.
Survey submissions close Friday, June 28 at 5pm.
