Social Media All Stars at Sunshine Coast event

Three social media industry leaders will feature at The Creative Collective’s first Web Wednesday of the year, on 20 February.

The panel includes representatives from YouTube/Google+, Facebook and a leading social media agency from Melbourne who will discuss how businesses can maximise social networking opportunities.

Participants can also network with other Sunshine Coast businesses and have free consultations with the guest speakers during the night:

Kia Wahl – Google – Google+/YouTube

As a New Media Strategist at Google, Kia’s focus is on evangelising Google+. She has a strong marketing and media background, having worked at Google for five years, and previously spent time at TBWA TEQUILA/ and Saatchi & Saatchi in the UK. Kia is passionate about all things digital and is always looking for innovative new ways for clients to use digital solutions in their marketing mix.

Nick Bowditch – Manager of Small Business, Australia and New Zealand for Facebook

Nick was a small business owner before being recruited by Facebook. He grew three small businesses from scratch into million dollar businesses in four years without spending a cent on traditional marketing or advertising, opting instead to use social media marketing. He is a Social Futurist, an author, blogger, and a sought-after keynote speaker.

Mark Cameron – Working Three

Mark is CEO of a strategic social media agency based in Melbourne which specialises in commercialising social media activity.  Mark began his marketing career in the early 90s, giving him the experience and insights necessary to develop robust marketing strategies.  His company’s clients include VicUrban, VicRoads, Telstra, CityLink, Flexirent, News Digital, Melbourne Airport, Medibank Private, Innovation Australia, Netball Australia, Volleyball Australia, John Wiley & Sons, and many SMEs.
