This website is designed to be a useful and informative tool for our community as we work together for the future of the Sunshine Coast

RDA Sunshine Coast is a partnership between the Australian government, the Queensland government in conjunction with the Sunshine Coast Council with the aim of further developing and strengthening the Sunshine Coast region.

RDA Sunshine Coast is a not-for-profit community-based organisation led by business and community leaders. The Committee members are all volunteers and have been ministerially appointed.

A key goal of RDA Sunshine Coast will be on the uniting the Sunshine Coast community around the economic, social and environmental issues affecting the region. RDA Sunshine Coast is an important contributor to and driver of:

  • Regional business plans and strategies, which will help support economic development, the creation of new jobs, skills development and business investment;
  • Environmental solutions, which will support ongoing sustainability and the management of climate change (including the impact of drought, flood or bushfires); and
  • Social inclusion strategies, which will bring together and support all members of the community.

RDA Sunshine Coast provides strategic and targeted responses to local issues and facilitates regional leadership and resilience by building partnerships between governments, regional development organisations, the private sector and other regional stakeholders.
