Summit provides immersion experience in smart technologies

Sixty delegates have an exciting opportunity to experience a world-class visualisation facility on a special behind the scenes site visit at the 2016 Smart Communities Summit in Caloundra, Queensland next March.

Delegates will have access to the University of the Sunshine Coast’s new CAVE2 immersion lab and Collaboration Studio which feature 2D and 3D capabilities.

“There is nowhere else in Australia where you can go to a living lab and have an immersion experience like this,” Australian Smart Communities Association (ASCA) President Michael Whereat said.

“The University of the Sunshine Coast is a world leader in immersive spaces for learning and commercial applications, and delegates will experience these facilities first-hand.

“They will also have the opportunity to see smart technologies and a smart city being created live, and gain insights into a local government project developed to gain maximum benefit from the visualisation facilities,” Mr Whereat said.

The site visit is part of the three-day Summit from 2-4 March 2016 featuring international and Australian speakers who will share their knowledge about how to take advantage of exciting new technology to benefit communities.

Spaces are strictly limited for the site visit, so REGISTER NOW for the Summit and book your seat on this exclusive behind the scenes tour. Early bird registrations are available until 18 January 2016. Discounted registration fees are available to ASCA members.

Hosted by the Australian Smart Communities Association, the Summit’s theme of Unlocking the Smart City Code will explore new challenges for the administration of communities to bring about transformational change to the way they are managed.

RDA Sunshine Coast is proud to be a sponsor of this event.
