Regional Development Australia Sunshine Coast has appointed senior executive Paul Fisher as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Paul has more than 25 years’ international strategic and operational leadership experience, in sectors as diverse as logistics, international humanitarian aid, digital media and social impact.
He has performed CEO, Managing Director and Board-level (NED) roles in high-growth start-up SME to established national and global enterprises.
Paul has more than 20 years’ experience in the Australian digital media industry, served on the Board of the United Nations International Children’s’ Emergency Fund (UNICEF) Australia, led commercial organisations both in Australia and across the Asia Pacific region, and was a member of the Sunshine Coast Council Knowledge and Professional Services High Value Industries Task Force.
Paul lives on the Sunshine Coast with his family and is excited about making a difference in his new role.
“I’m thrilled to assume this role and more so about the opportunities for the RDA in this region in the coming years,” Paul said.
“There’s great scope at RDA Sunshine Coast to expand on its key leadership role in engaging our local community in change and innovation.”
RDA Sunshine Coast Chair Carol Cashman said the organisation was delighted to have secured a CEO with Paul’s extensive and diverse skills and experience.

Regional Development Australia (RDA) Sunshine Coast is part of a national network of 52 committees made up of local leaders who work with all levels of government, business and community groups to support the growth and development of their regions.
The not-for-profit, community-based organisation’s vision is to create an innovative, dynamic, connected and sustainable Sunshine Coast.
Paul joins a group of experienced and accomplished men and women from the business and education sectors on the RDA Sunshine Coast Committee.
