$1 Billion Regional Development Australia Fund workshops being held across the Sunshine Coast for Not-for-Profit groups
The Chair of Regional Development Australia (RDA) Sunshine Coast will conduct a series of workshops to engage with community members of Not-for-Profit organisations to help them make applications to the $1 billion RDA Fund for local projects.
The workshops will take place across the Sunshine Coast from 14 April to 20 April 2011 and will provide an overview of funding guidelines and procedures when applying for grants through the RDA Fund.
The Chair said “Not-for-Profit organisations form the backbone of our community and it is wonderful news that they are eligible to receive grants from the recently announced RDA Fund.
“These information workshops assist RDA Sunshine Coast in working closely with local communities in order to secure the best possible social, economic and environmental outcomes for the region.
“Applications to the RDA Fund will be guided by community needs as identified in the RDA Sunshine Coast Regional Roadmap. RDA Sunshine Coast will make recommendations to the Australian Government in this regard.
“I encourage community groups to participate actively in these workshops. We are here to listen and let the Australian and State Governments know the Sunshine Coast community’s needs”.
Funding of between $500,000 and $25M per project will be available. Project grants over $5M will be required to be matched on at least a dollar for dollar basis.
Partner funding will be expected for grants except where extenuating circumstances prevent co-funding. Grants over $5M are required to be matched on at least a dollar-for-dollar basis. This is not necessarily required for projects under $5M.
