Regional Development Australia Sunshine Coast has welcomed new staff to aid its vision to create an innovative, dynamic, connected and sustainable Sunshine Coast.
The not-for-profit, community-based organisation is an Australian Government initiative. It is part of a national network of 55 Regional Development Australia (RDA) organisations created with the aim of strengthening and building regional communities.
RDA Sunshine Coast’s new appointments include Interim CEO Andrew Quain (pictured), who joins our esteemed Chair Carol Cashman and Deputy Chair Jason Law.
Andrew is an economic and regional development professional who has worked for and with all three levels of government, including with Regional Development Australia Moreton Bay.
His areas of focus include strategy, investment attraction, industry engagement, innovation, entrepreneurship and international trade.
Other new RDA SC staff appointments include Research and Grants Coordinator Sarah Wetton and Communications Manager Nicole Carrington.
Sarah Wetton (PhD) is an environmental scientist with 15 years’ multidisciplinary research and professional experience in government, academia and consulting organisations.
Nicole is a communications specialist who has 25 years’ experience in print and digital journalism, media management, corporate communications and PR.
