The People of Australia Ambassadors Program honours people who embody the principles
of Australia’s Multicultural Policy and have a strong commitment to inclusion, social
cohesion and actions which unite all Australians.
People of Australia Ambassadors are appointed for 12 months and are an important and
critical link providing feedback from local communities on issues of interest to the Council
and the Australian Government.
Communities and individuals can nominate a candidate for the People of Australia
Ambassador program in recognition of their work with diverse and ethnic communities.
Nominations of young people and people from regional and rural areas are strongly
encouraged. Self-nominations are not accepted.
