Message from RDA Sunshine Coast

What do Sunshine Toyota, Good Bean and Alltech Industrial Abseilers have in common?
These three local businesses are reaping the rewards of the new and ongoing opportunities that have been created by the new Sunshine Coast University Hospital. A project the size of SCUH creates great opportunities for local businesses – many of which are outside of the provision of health services. Come along to the free Ripple Effect event to connect with current opportunities – and find out what exiting new opportunities may await you!

How Sunshine Coast employers can help beat traffic congestion
If Sunshine Coast residents continue to use their cars to travel to work, congestion on our roads will become critical, parking will remain an issue, and our region will eventually lose its unique lifestyle qualities. If Sunshine Coast employers use their influence to change the travel behaviour of their employees it will have a significant impact in reducing traffic congestion on our roads – and improve employee morale and productivity.

The good news is that alternate, subsidised and smart transport solutions for employees are readily available. Employers are invited to register for the free SMART Transport Forums – which could change the way our region tackles traffic congestion.

Committee Member Applications
Applications for Deputy Chair and Committee member positions are sought from highly motivated and experienced people who are knowledgeable about the economic strengths and challenges of the region. The deadline for applications has been extended to Friday 13 April 2018, 5.00PM.
