The Innovators and Inventors start-up booths initiative has been designed to provide support for local start-ups, entrepreneurs and innovators to participate in the Sunshine Coast Business Expo at an affordable price.
The Innovators and Inventors Hub provides an opportunity for local start-ups and innovators to showcase their business to the local business community and potentially draw in more mentors, funding and more talented and experienced business people to one location, to reach profitability and speed their way to market.
The support will include a heavily subsidised exhibitor booth bundled with over $3000 worth of business support and resources to help these business become sustainable, to get them to market and profitable sooner.
Business entry requirements:
- Be operating as a registered business at the date of application
- Agree to abide by the Expo exhibitor terms and conditions
- Be prepared to allow the judging panel to make an evaluation of your business for the purpose of judging, the content of which will be treated in the strictest confidence
- Must be willing to demonstrate their innovation/concept to the public.

A panel of industry professionals will review the applications and determine the successful candidates who will be announced on 9 May.
This initiative is a partnership between Sunshine Coast Council, Gympie Regional Council, Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast, Sunshine Coast Daily and the Expo event organisers, Maroochydore Chamber of Commerce.
The 2014 Sunshine Coast Business Expo will be held on 28-29 May at the Mooloolaba campus of the Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE.
