Innovation Centre member’s $10.4 million move

Talk about a game-changer for the Sunshine Coast – meet Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast member Servatus Ltd, a biopharmaceutical company, whose new $10.4 million advanced biotherapeutics manufacturing and research facility will be built at Coolum’s Suncoast Business Park.
There, together with a joint venture partner, Servatus will forge Australian Biotherapeutics, which will manufacture a range of high-quality, medical-grade live biotherapeutics (raw materials) for global export.
Construction is due this May, with completion expected by the end of 2019. The joint venture will create 24 high-income, high-skilled jobs over the first five years and up to 57 jobs over 10 years in the region.
Australian Biotherapeutics will utilise joint venture partner Servatus’s proprietary microbial biotherapeutics and expertise to supply established global markets and customers, including the USA and Asia, develop new bespoke products; competing in the world live biotherapeutics market as a niche player.
