RDA Sunshine Coast will conduct a series of information sessions to assist potential applicants take advantage of the Federal Government’s National Stronger Regions Fund which provides grants for priority infrastructure projects in regional communities.
The Fund provides local community projects with between $20,000 and $10 million, covering up to 50 per cent of project costs.
RDA Sunshine Coast Chair Tony Riddle said the Fund supported local and regional development initiatives ranging from freight and transport projects to convention centres and major multipurpose sports facilities.
Local Government and incorporated not-for-profit organisations are eligible to apply for grants.
“We encourage interested applicants to attend these information sessions to hear about program guidelines and discuss opportunities, identify infrastructure projects and how we can facilitate bringing key parties together,” Mr Riddle said.
“The Fund is an excellent opportunity to access funding for regional projects that will enhance economic growth and activity on the Sunshine Coast.”
Round Two is now open and closes on 31 July 2015.
