Sunshine Coast manufacturers are invited to attend an information session to learn about the Clean Technology Investment Programs and how to apply for grants to help them transition to a clean energy future.
The programs provide incentives for businesses to reduce emissions and invest in clean energy through energy efficient capital equipment and low pollution technologies, processes and products.
Regional Development Australia Sunshine Coast Chair Prof Max Standage said the grants would help manufacturers buy new plant and equipment which cut their energy costs or reduced carbon pollution.
Projects that can be supported include switching to less carbon intensive energy sources or installing new manufacturing equipment, processes and facilities to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
More than $1 billion of funding is available under the Australian Government’s Clean Energy Future plan announced in July 2011.
The information sessions will be held on:
Date: Thursday, 29 March
Venue: Nambour RSL Matthew Street, Nambour
Time: From 5pm – 6:30pm.
Please note, seats are limited.
