Gluten Free Bakehouse expansion at Kunda Park a sweet deal for Coast jobs

Sunshine Coast Mayor Mark Jamieson was on hand to celebrate last week’s grand opening of the Gluten Free Bakehouse at Kunda Park.
With operations in both the Sunshine Coast and Victoria, Gluten Free Bakehouse employs 120 staff across all sites, including 26 staff here locally, which is set to grow to 45 in the next four years.
The new, refurbished factory includes state-of-the-art equipment, allowing business owners Colin Pettigrew and Lisa Nevens to increase production and additional gluten-free and egg-free products.
It has contributed just under a million dollars to the Sunshine Coast economy.
Also owning Temptations in Melbourne, which has been in operation for more than 25 years, the Gluten Free Bakehouse team specialises in the manufacture of premium gluten-free bakery products – including breads, cakes, muffins and rolls – supplying nationwide to large retailers and food service providers.
