Chambers of Commerce share best practice initiatives

In a first for the region, Noosa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIQ) invited high performing Chambers of Commerce from across Queensland to discuss and share best-practice initiatives at its Inaugural Chamber Best Practice Forum on 28 July.

RDA Sunshine Coast Chair Tony Riddle, who was invited as an observer, congratulated CCIQ Noosa for taking a leadership role and getting people together to share information.

“People often underestimate the value of collaboration, without which we wouldn’t be able to progress as a region.  This was a great starting point and some quality discussions took place, generating fresh ideas,” he said.

“We applaud and encourage others to take similar steps in bringing together people to share ideas, as we are more powerful with one voice.”

Chambers of Commerce representatives from across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Mackay and Toowoomba regions attended the forum held at Peppers Resort in Noosa.

Observers included Mr Riddle, The Hon Glen Elmes MP, Noosa Councillors Sandy Bolton and Frank Pardon, and Business Mentoring Noosa President Bob Joubert.
