All hail Your Mates Brewing Co. founders Christen McGarry and Matt Hepburn (pictured) who are cracking the cold ones to celebrate the recent open of their new brewery and restaurant, Your Mates Brewery in Warana. Cheers!
The pair, who appeared on hit TV show, Shark Tank last year, are well known in the craft beer scene having developed the widely popular pale ale, “Larry”, which is currently ranked No. 13 in Australia, under their beer label, Your Mates Brewing Co.
Australia’s obsession with boutique beer has been great news for the local brewers, with the industry growing at almost 200 per cent in the past seven years.
Christen and Matt, both of whom grew up on the coast, quit their professional jobs to launch Your Mates Brewing Co. in October, 2015.
Now, they are the largest local wholesalers on the Sunshine Coast – so successful, they are selling more beer than they can keep up with!
