SCUH Objectives

To ensure that the Sunshine Coast region maximises this opportunity the SCUH BIDO taskforce has been created.

Objectives of SCUH BIDO taskforce:

  1. To develop collaborative service delivery arrangements with Regional Development Australia (RDA) Sunshine Coast, Sunshine Coast Council (SCC) and other identified regional stakeholders to form an official working and reference committee as a sub-committee of RDA Sunshine Coast, to assist to maximize the economic development opportunities arising from the Queensland Government investment in the Sunshine Coast University Hospital
  2. Maximise regional economic growth through employment generation and investment attraction on the Sunshine Coast through facilitating “value chain” opportunities identified.
  3. The three key project stages being:

a)     Pre-construction (Development awareness and education)
b)     Construction
c)     Post construction (maximize possible service related opportunities)
* A designated point of reference is a critical component across all stages of opportunities listed

Expressions of Interest (EOI) are being called for from consortia with experience, capability and capacity to deliver the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) as a Public Private Partnership (PPP).
