Committee

The RDA Sunshine Coast Committee was created when the Australian Government advertised and called for expressions of interest from community leaders with applications closing in June 2009. In October 2009, the successful applicants were announced.

 

The Committee of Regional Development Australia Sunshine Coast Incorporated is made up of 10 members including a Chair and Deputy Chair:

Purpose

The purpose of Regional Development Australia Sunshine Coast is to strengthen and build the Sunshine Coast community.

RDA Sunshine Coast does this by performing five roles:

  • By consulting and engaging with the community on issues, solutions and priorities
  • By promoting whole-of-government activities
  • By supporting informed regional planning
  • By providing communities with information about government programs, services, grants and initiatives

By being important contributors to:

  • Business growth plans & investment strategies
  • Environmental solutions
  • Social inclusion strategies
